There are many in-system programming tools available on the market today, at reasonable cost (or even free of charge!). These are typically design tools, created for the design engineer who is writing and debugging the program code to reside on a microcontroller or memory device on the product PCB.

ImageWriter-300 is designed for use in production test environments, or in product configuration stations where volume programming is done. It may be run by an operator who does not have (or need) the design knowledge of the device that an engineer would have. At this stage the goal is a rapid, reliable programming process within the manufacturing flow, where volumes of production boards can be consistently programmed and verified using an approved, released image file.

Integrates into Existing In-Circuit Test Processes

Manual programming process is not sufficient for today's automated production lines, and could present a source of errors or a costly bottleneck. An open architecture allows ImageWriter-300 to be integrated easily with your own In-Circuit tester, leveraging that investment by automating programming at board test.
