This structure allows this versatile polymer film to be permanently bonded to compounds such as EPDM, NMR, and SBR by the vulcanization process alone and adhesives are typically not needed. Only minor changes to existing production processes are needed to apply the film. UHMW-PE products can also be compound with select additives to improve physical properties and reduce susceptibility to UV light.
