Degree Controls, Inc. announces the AccuSense Series 300 Airflow Switches — an alternative to the traditional methods for sensing airflow failure. An all-solid state, compact switch, the Series 300 provides continuous airflow monitoring and fast response in critical environments such as cleanrooms, semiconductor fabs, pharmaceutical processing plants, and medical facilities. Their low cost, minimal processing electronics and easy installation make the switches ideal for use wherever there is a need for warning of airflow deterioration.

The Series 300 has been designed to offer solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in airflow sensing, such as monitoring low air velocity, responding to blocked inlet failures and wrong fan rotation and assuring continuous performance harsh environments. If a specific application requires knowing whether the airflow direction has reversed, a patented, uni-directional version of the Series 300 is also available. Custom terminations and connectors can be factory-installed.

Depending on application requirements, the Series 300 airflow switches can be supplied with standard or custom set points to fit specific customers' needs for air velocity. Set points can range from 50 fpm to 2000 fpm (0.25 to 10 m/s). A choice of mounting options allows for efficient installation upstream or downstream of cardcages, power supplies, HEPA filters, air cooling intakes and exhausts, operating rooms, cleanroom entrances and exits.

Applications for the Series 300 switch include HEPA blockages and fan failure in cleanrooms, fan failure in electronics cooling, continuous monitoring of fume hoods and biosafety cabinets, process control and HVAC systems.
