All pumps are available in a choice of materials depending on operating conditions and include packed gland shaft seals as standard (mechanical shaft seals optional). Standard system designs meet HEI standards and include all system components for dependable operation. These systems offer substantial power savings over steam jet vacuum systems.

All power plants have vacuum pumps installed on their main condensers. The main function for these pumps is to handle air leakage, which is why the capacity for these units is rated in SCFM of dry air at 1" HgA as per HEI standards. The water-sealed liquid ring vacuum pump is the unit of choice as a condenser-exhauster, because of its capability to handle large amounts of water vapor efficiently.
