The DEWE-501 has been designed specifically for testing automobiles. This system starts where traditional instruments like chart recorders and tape recorders stop. Imagine: in addition to 16 analog inputs (any combination of voltages or accelerometers), the DEWE-501 also records video from a video camera, and GPS information from many commercially available GPS sensors, including Dewetron's own 200 Hz sensor (more about that below). A dual-port CAN BUS interface is built-in, so you can record dozens of additional channels from the CAN bus or even CAN sensors! Put the '501 into any car or truck seat and it will record everything, and can immediately replay it on the screen for you at various speeds, forward and backward. Export the data to various file formats for further analysis, or export the screen replay to an AVI movie!
