Uehling Instrument Company pressure transducer is mounted or submerged at a known location near or at the bottom of the tank. Pressure from the liquid level (head pressure) is converted to an electrical signal that is sent to the Digital Display module. The electrical signal is then conditioned/scaled and, if required, compensated for non-linear tank configuration (calibrations where the weight or volume per cubic unit of depth varies) in the required unit of measurement and displayed by an easy-to-read 4-1/2 digit display. Direct Reading Systems are intended for measuring clean, non-corrosive liquids.
Direct Threaded Mount The pressure transducer is mounted to a threaded opening at a known location on the tank, or watertower. This type of system is designated by the letter "D" preceding the model system range -- e.g. D-10VVI. An Isolation and Air Bleed Valve assembly is optionally available to allow removal of the transducer without draining the tank.
Direct Flanged Mount The pressure transducer is mounted to a Class 150 ANSI Flanged opening at a known location on the tank. Units are standard with an internal amplifier for a remote display. This type of system is designated by the letters "DF" preceding the model system range -- e.g. DF-10VVI.
Direct Sanitary Flanged Mount The pressure transducer is mounted to a CIP (clean in place) Sanitary Flange opening at a known location on a vented tank. Units are standard with an internal amplifier for a remote display. This type of system is designated by the letters "DSF" preceding the model system range -- e.g. DSF-10VVI.
Direct Submersible Some applications like underground tanks and wells do not permit easy access for mounting a transducer on the side or bottom. In this case a submersible transducer is mounted on a pipe of suitable material and lowered from the top into the tank through a 2" NPT opening. The pipe protects the electrical signal cable and also holds the transducer in its proper location. Direct Submersibl units are standard with an internal amplifier for a remote display and a minimum of 15 feet of signal cable. Additional lengths are optionally available. This type of system is for vented tanks only and is designated by the letters "DS" preceding the model system range -- e.g. DS-10VVI.
