Low-Torque Pneumatic Tension Brakes

Low-Torque Pneumatic Tension Brakes

The 60 Series brake, named for its six-inch diameter discs, offers high-performance in a torque range from 1 lb-inch up to 1,000 Ib-inches. The brake was designed for low-tension unwind application in the converting, printing, composite, wire and filament industries.

Easy to install and to use, the 60 Series brake delivers the precise torque range needed for a particular application by actuating lust the number of cylinders needed, from one up to six. Customers choose friction pads from a selection of 3 standard friction coefficients. Braking force is applied to the discs on both sides of the brake actuator assembly with the pistons of each actuated cylinder.

All Dover Dual Disc brakes offer hassle-free friction pad removal and installation. Friction pads can be changed out in seconds with no tools required due to the patented "quick-change release lock". A limited travel actuator piston prevents disc scoring, and the return spring design prevents the possibility of puncturing the actuator diaphragm. This brake will be on display at LabelExpo USA 2000, booth #3008.

Other features of Dover's Dual Disc brake include

DFE's standard 5-Year Product Warranty

The industry's only "No-Squeel" Brake Warranty

Large heat dissipation capacity

Safety guard that exceeds regulatory requirements
