Miniature Low Bias, Single & Triax Accelerometers

Dytran Instruments has introduced the models 3003B, 3205B and 3205M1, high performance IEPE accelerometers, capable of operating at temperatures up to +347°F (+175°C) and were designed for down-hole drill head vibration monitoring and other low turn-on voltage applications where supply power is limited.
Sensors developed for down-hole vibration monitoring must be able to delivery accurate and reliable data, while also tolerating harsh conditions. Critical characteristics of these sensors include a miniature design, high temperature operation, and the ability to operate at low power levels.
Dytran has recently introduced the models 3205B and 3205M1, low bias single axis IEPE accelerometers. Packaged in a lightweight titanium housing weighing just 2 grams, models 3205B and 3205M1 have a vertical height of 0.30 inches (7.7 millimeters), and we designed to operate from +4.0 to +4.5 VDC compliance voltage, making them ideal for use in such low turn-on voltage applications where supply power is limited. The model 3205B is offered with a 2 mV/g sensitivity, 500g range and is designed with adhesive mounting capabilities, while the model 3205M1 is offered with a 0.33 mV/g sensitivity, 3,000g range and incorporates a 10-32 mounting stud. Both models utilize a 35-inch integral cable assembly terminating to flying leads.
Also similar to the models described above is the Dytran model 3003B, a triaxial IEPE accelerometer packaged in a lightweight titanium housing weighing just 6 grams and with a vertical height of 0.365 inches (9.3 millimeters). Specially designed to operate from +4.0 to +5.5 VDC compliance voltage, the model 3003B is offered with a sensitivity of 2 mV/g and 500g range, adhesive mounting capabilities, and incorporate a 22-inch 4-wire integral cable terminating to flying leads.
