In an emergency, a simple push of an EAO Emergency Stop actuator, instantly releases normally closed contacts, thus immediately terminating power. EAO Emergency Stop switches are re-activated either by hand twisting the actuator, or when additional security is required, by unlocking the actuator with a key. EAO Emergency Stop switches satisfy international standards including the Euro-Community EN418 directive that demands a "foolproof" switch operation.

For space restrictive applications, EAO's new unique Series 84 Emergency Stop switch is also sealed, only occupies a maximum of 13.5mm behind-the-panel-depth, and can also be obtained illuminated!
