The Haas EC-400PP is a high-productivity HMC with a 6-station pallet pool and a host of standard features, including a 70-pocket side-mount tool changer, through-spindle coolant, 1-degree pallet indexing and a belt-type chip conveyor. An inline, direct-drive spindle system couples the motor directly to the spindle for less vibration, heat and noise, which results in superior surface finishes, excellent thermal stability and quieter operation. Rapdis are 1,000-ipm, and a full 4th axis is available.
