ELCAN Málaga and Solitec, in collaboration with Málaga University, developed the world's first Digital Hearing Aid to provide smart threshold adjustment, personalized for the wearer. This device is a retroauricular hearing aid that uses digital technology to process and control the acoustic signal. The devices adapt automatically to the sonorous environment of the wearer, as they are custom programmed to the individual. The parameters are stored in the unit and therefore require no reprogramming after changing batteries.

ELCAN Optical Technologies Málaga developed the proprietary processes to produce this revolutionary, high quality, compact device. The adaptive quality of the device relies on more than 60 different frequencies so that no manual volume control is required and avoids the inconvenience of noisy environments while providing a clear, crisp sound.
