Ideal Conditions for Air Flow Measurement

Air flow measurement is most accurate when the flow has no turbulent, reverse, and/or cyclonic flow patterns and is evenly profiled across the duct at the point of measurement.

Creating Ideal Conditions with the High Beta® Flow Conditioner

The High Beta® is a proprietary-designed flow-conditioning device with minimal pressure loss and was designed for installations with relatively few or almost no duct runs upstream and/or downstream. The High Beta® Flow Conditioner is able to eliminate cyclonic, turbulent, and reverse flow at the point of measurement in order to allow for near ideal measurement conditions, allowing the VAP3® Pitots that can be installed with the High Beta® Flow Conditioner to attain their maximum accuracy.

Creating the Ideal Without the Ordeal

The High Beta® can be housed within a spooled section of duct that is easily inserted into existing round or rectangular ducts. Within the High Beta® itself is an array of VAP3® pitots. The VAP3® Pitots provide an accurate differential pressure output, allowing for precise air flow measurement or control of your processes. The High Beta® is available with both VAP3®/SA or VAP3®/PA pitots, for clean air applications or heavy particulate-laden applications, respectively.
