EADmotors' new NEMA size 17 brushless DC servo motor is a cost-effective solution for high performance applications requiring high speeds with superior precision accuracy. A variety of windings provide the means to easily integrate with all three-phase servo amplifiers.
With quick acceleration and deceleration, the motor achieves no-load operation to 8,000 rpm with peak power output up to 250 watts. The motor's smooth operation at high speed generates peak torque to 33 oz-in. and continuous torque rated at 10 oz-in.
The small overall package size (1.57-in. square) allows for easy integration into tight system spaces. Totally enclosed housings, permanently lubricated ball bearings and dynamically balanced rotors result in low audible and magnetic noise while contributing to minimal torque ripple and cogging.
EADmotors design engineering and manufacturing capabilities allow for many engineered options to suit specific customer applications. An optional encoder with commutation tracks cost-effectively improves servo system accuracy, reliability/performance, and adds less than 1-inch to the total package size. Mechanical modifications include a variety of windings, custom shafts, end caps, cables and connectors.
Applications include equipment and devices in the semiconductor and robotics industries, medical device industry, and light industrial applications. Examples of specific uses include semiconductor and robotics equipment, medical centrifuge devices, conveyors, X-Y positioning equipment, machine tools, gyroscopes, paper feed devices, film transport machines and bar code readers
