R&D Contract Engineering Services from Electro Standards Laboratories

Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) is significantly involved in a number of projects including Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS), hybrid electric vehicles, and precision instrumentation.

ESL works as an extension of your R&D team and works from theory to simulation, design, development, programming, etc. to develop working systems. In particular we have been involved in embedded controls, sensorless motor controls, multi-level inverters, controls modeling and simulation for motor drive systems, energy storage, energy harvesting.

ESL is versed in using many types of DSP/microcontrollers to implement controls including TI DSP TMS320C3X, TMS320F24XX, TMS320C67xx, ADSP Sharc, Motorola 68HCxx, Infineon DSPs, 8xCXX, etc. ESL has been involved in structural controls to reduce bending or vibrations and designed PI controllers, advanced LQG, H-inf controllers, and sliding mode controllers, etc.

ESL is involved in precision instrumentation products involving strain gage and LVDT sensors, mil spec cables, and high density fiber optics.

ESL's Research & Development Engineering Services Division leverages years of practical experience with the very latest in classical, adaptive, and intelligent control technologies to provide deliverables that are innovative, timely, and cost-effective. This includes all types of linear motor controls, motor controls, sensorless controls, vector controls, power electronics, inverters, DSP-based data acquisition and instrumentation. ESL works as an extension of your development facilities in any capacity that you might need from total outsourcing, to algorithm help, to design reviews.
