The new UPL gear box from GAM is a planetary gear box that offers significantly better performance than a spur gear box, but is comparably priced. The UPL offers low backlash, <15 arcmin, which is up to 4 times better than most spur gear boxes.

The UPL series is ideal for applications where low-cost synchronous or stepper motors are used. Previously, relatively low-quality and low-performance spur gear boxes were paired with these low-cost motors. GAM's new UPL series presents a new alternative to improve performance without a significant change in cost.

The UPL features a fixed input for quick and easy mounting to standard NEMA 23, 34 or 42 motors. Ratios up to 100:1 are available. The UPL is rated for 10,000 hours.

Delivery is 1-2 weeks.
