iTEMP® TMT162 smart temperature transmitter, with a stainless steel housing, offers customers a choice for the highest measurement quality, stability, and flexibility. The stainless steel housing provides corrosion prevention and resistance. TMT162 is a HART® smart transmitter capable of single or dual sensor input, meaning the transmitter is capable of accepting input from two different sensors at the same time.
In certain environments, corrosion can be dangerous. Instrument housing is often protected with multiple layers of epoxy or polyurethane coating, but this solution only provides resistance for a short period of time. TMT 162's new stainless steel housing offers a corrosion prevention solution since the housing will not peel, rust, or dissolve creating a safe work environment for the plant and personnel involved. Innovative corrosion protection detects corrosion on thermocouples and RTD's before it corrupts measured values, which allows for a quick maintenance intervention and avoids a potential shutdown.
