The FNC is a non-metallic
horizontal centrifugal pump designed following the requirements of the chemical
industry. The design and materials of
contruction of this pump allow it to handle extremely corrosive and abrasive
solutions successfully.
Performance Range
Flows up to 1,500
m3/hr (6,600 gpm)
Heads up to 90 m
(290 ft)
Operating
temperature up to 120 deg C (248 deg F)
Operating
pressure up to 10 bar (145 psi)
Higher pressures
on request
Design Features
Solid ceramic
construction offers maximum safety during operation.
Closed impeller
design.
Shaft supported
by oil-lubricated anti-friction bearings.
Robust shaft and
bearings resulting in minimal shaft deflection.
Impeller relief
holes and close clearances between impeller and casing relieve axial thrust.
Back pull-out
design for easier maintenance.
Materials
The volute casing
and casing cover are made of technical ceramic FRIKORUND® protected
by an armor of cast iron GG or ductile cast iron GGG 40.3.
Impellers are available
in following corrosion resistant materials: ceramic FRIKORUND® ,
titanium, tantalum, hastelloy, etc.
Pump linings made
of high-stregth corundum stoneware are cemented to the cast outer armour.
Centering of the
pump casing cover to the pump casing, and alignment of pedestals are arranged
with reference to the outer armor.
Shaft Seals
Various options are available
including single mechanical seal, double mechanical seal or packing.
