Glass vials are removed row by row by means of a Cartesian 2-axis pick and place equipped with a multiple head vacuum end effector. Vials are transferred into a pair of rubber belt conveyors to cull out shards of broken vials before transferring to the vision inspection system.
A second 2-axis pick and place transfers the vials into the vision inspection system. Good and rejected vials are separated via a pick & place.
Vials are placed upright in an oval operating fixtured conveyor, and exit onto a synchronized conveyor to maintain stability of transfer.
