Caps are manually loaded into a floor space saving bulk supply hopper located beneath the Farason pocketed disc sorter. Caps exit the sorter and ride on a conveyor and into a timing screw where they are removed by a two-axes pick and place. Caps are then placed onto bases which ride on an adjacent conveyor. Empty pressboard trays, with dividers, reside in a vertical magazine for presentation to the tray loading pick and place. Capped lipstick cases are removed from their carrier boat, rotated 180 degrees and then picked and place into their corresponding tray.
