Two opposite direction, Farason, rotary pocketed disc sorters receive bulk plastic lemons from a singular 80 cubic foot bulk supply hopper with elevating conveyor. Lemons are separated into two lanes of bulk flow after exiting the hopper. Lemons are directed into the sorter contoured pockets and exit the two sorter bowls onto their respective conveyors standing upright. Unstable lemons are directed off the conveyor into vacuum tubes for return to the sorters.
Lemons enter starwheels that are syncronized with the main continuous rotary turret with their part to part pitch matching. The lemon starwheels are positioned above the turret puck starwheels so that they can be brought in over the pucks and allowed to drop down into the pucks. The machine was installed without breaking the exisiting manual puck loading conveyor. Empty pucks enter via a synchronous starwheel simultaneously while filled pucks exit accordingly.
