As the largest supplier of custom designed fiber optic lighting components in the US, Fiberoptics Technology's engineering staff design and manufacture sophisticated, tight tolerance fiber optic parts for military, commercial, industrial and medical OEM's. Because development, testing and manufacture are done in-house, we can offer 5 day turnaround on most prototype designs.

As an example, in the photograph to the right (modified for clarity), special spot-to-line components are shown in sophisticated aircraft carrier landing equipment. The design and production of this component is done in our Pomfret, CT location. We worked closely with the customer from the onset of the project to insure performance and cost targets were met.

Many specialized applications can be accommodated using a standard FTI designed product. Standard products are the preferred choice because they are available from stock, having been manufactured in efficient batches to minimize cost.

Sometimes a standard product can become a solution with small modifications. The standard product may be a bit too short or long, it may lack the required bend radius, focal distance or coverage area. Rather than design a part from scratch, FTI can modify a standard design to satisfy the application and minimize cost. Modified products are manufactured using basic standard components already in inventory. Because the drawings are complete, and the components already tested for accuracy, it takes minimal time and effort to alter the design.

Whenever possible, FTI will create your product solution using a standard configuration from a base design. The result is a product made to your specification, in the shortest time, at the lowest cost.
