Fairview, PA – March 31, 2009 – Spectrum Advanced Specialty Products has designed an inexpensive filtered modular jack connector that protects equipment from both conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI) in an industry standard package. These compact, filtered printed circuit board connectors provide high reliability and are fully intermateable and interchangeable with existing standard unfiltered RJ45 modular jack connectors. Spectrum's EMI filtered mod jacks assist with FCC Part 15 A & B and CISPR 22 compliance and are RoHS compliant.
Spectrum's EMI filtered mod jack connectors are constructed of flame retardant polyester thermoplastic and available in inductor, capacitor or ESD versions and shielded or unshielded models. The low profile and narrow width of Spectrum's multi-port style allows for more ports in less space.
These connectors are compatible with wave solder environments and have a high temperature option for reflow processes. They utilize duplex plated contacts with solder tails and include redundant shielding tabs that ensure a low impedance ground path is maintained. The filtered modular jack connector is ideal for widely diversified applications such as LANs, WANs, network cards, broadband transmission equipment, workstations, peripherals, fax/modems, copy machines and multiplexing.
Spectrum Control's EMI filtered modular jack connectors have pricing ranging from $2.00 to $50.00 depending on configuration and quantities required.
