Testing sealants on Anodic Coatings

The ANOTEST® YMP 30-S is used for testing sealants on anodic coatings on aluminum. It measures the admittance according to standards and is ideally suited for on-site applications.

In addition to measuring film thickness, the sealing quality of the coating should be measured. The purpose of measuring the sealing quality is to determine the weather resistance of a finish. Some applications the Anotest® is used for are measurements on decorative anodic finishes, anodic finishes used in the construction industry and super hard anodic finishes. The instrument is capable of entering all relevant test parameters, such as measurement cell area, thickness of the anodic coating, specimen temperature and measuring time.
