Lamitex® Composite Bearings have been designed utilizing the latest high performance composite materials to extend wear life and fillers are commonly used to provide a self-lubricating condition. Carbon-graphite, Alumina and Molybdenum disulfide can be added to a modified phenolic resin formulation to provide internal lubrication that reduces frictional heat and extends the wear life of metal shafts. Lamitex Composite bearings have been used in many rolling mill applications to replace bronze bearings, copper or lead babbitt bearings and other plastic bearings. Other benefits of Lamitex composite bearings include, low friction, low heat build-up, no cold flow conditions and excellent resiliency. Please contact Franklin Fibre-Lamitex Corp for our complete composite bearing design brochure.
