Many cryogenic applications require a neck tube that will maintain its impermeability while it faces extreme handling conditions. Lamitex® glass/epoxy neck tubes have been tested and subjected to the most severe operating conditions without failure. Franklin has machined glass/epoxy neck tubes, small diameter straw tubes, and profiles and parts from glass/epoxy sheet materials for a wide variety of cryogenic applications. Lamitex® tubing in fine weave glass G-10CR and G-11 resin rich, compression molded shapes in angles, channels and square and rectangular tube casings are used for structural support and superconducting insulator applications.
