With the gearless drives ZETASYN and ZETATOP, Ziehl-Abegg offers elevator machines for machine room-less elevators of the highest calibre. Both machine types are optimised for individual applications: ZETASYN normally is installed at the bottom of the elevator shaft. It is slim enough to allow the cabin to drive past the machine. The design of ZETATOP is sufficiently compact that standard shaft dimensions can be retained with the installation at the top of the elevator shaft.

Specification:
With the ZETATOP SM160, Ziehl-Abegg offers an innovative traction machine for elevators in the lower load range and for extremely compact lift shafts. This ZETATOP grants the advanced demands, that are claimed on such a machine. A machine room is not neccessary, the machine is installed directly in the shaft head. The traction sheave with a diameter of 160 mm allows already the use of the new wire ropes with a diameter of 4 mm.

Attributes and special features:
The ZETATOP offers all advantages of a modern permanent magnet excited synchronous motor. It is compact and can be mounted in many ways, even in the smallest elevator shaft. The ride quality and the smoothness of these kinds of drives is unsurpassed. The certified brake can be used in addition as a safety device against uncontrolled car movement upwards.
