The DSC-300 Portable Digital Signal Conditioner from GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms provides flexible signal conditioning in a ruggedized enclosure. Up to 8 analog AC- or DC-coupled inputs can be connected to the DSC-300. Switch selectable differential or single-ended inputs are supported on a per channel basis. Settable gains from 1 to 1000 are available on a per channel basis. The DSC-300 supports voltage, bridge and ICP inputs.
The DSC-300 is available in two variations: DSC-300A for analog signal conditioning, and DSC-300D for digital, or pulse, signal conditioning.
In typical field testing, such as in-vehicle use, the portable DSC-300 can be directly connected to a digital data recorder.
However, because of the DSC-300's rugged enclosure, the DSC-300 can be placed very close to the unit being tested, which is important for testing in hazardous environments such as those found in weapons testing, or chemical and biologically active areas. The DSC-300's differential output option supports its separation from a digital data recorder for distances up to 1000 feet (300 meters).
When used in such a separation of signal conditioner from recorder testing scenario, the DSC-300 uses a rackmount channel receiver. The DSC-3200 series channel receiver allows separation of conditioner and recorder to the safety of a control room or block house.
The rugged DSC-300 makes an ideal signal conditioning component when connected to GE Fanuc's DDR-300 rugged portable digital data recorder which includes GE Fanuc's easy-to-use Microsoft Windows-based powerful DaqHunter signal analysis software for turnkey field operation.
