Leicester, UK, August 2006 — The new Protimeter HygroTrac from GE Sensing is a revolutionary system for monitoring humidity, temperature and moisture levels in buildings. It is a highly versatile and cost effective solution for both short and long term environmental monitoring applications.
The HygroTrac system consists of small wireless sensors that transmit measurements to a Gateway that is connected to the Internet. The sensors are placed throughout the building and the Gateway then downloads the measurements it receives to a secure GE Sensing server. The humidity, temperature and moisture levels in the building can be monitored remotely, from any location that has access to the Internet.
Catching moisture intrusion problems early can prevent decay and mold, which are associated with health risks to building occupants. The new HygroTrac™ can also be used for quality control when storing moisture sensitive products and historical artifacts moisture.
HygroTrac is suitable for many monitoring applications in both residential and commercial buildings. For more information and live demonstration visit www.gehygrotrac.com and log in as a guest by entering User ID: "gehygrotrac" and password: "guest".
