Grignards For Synthesis (GFS)
Grignard reagents (R-Mg-X) are highly versatile tools for building carbon skeletons of complex organic molecules. The chemistry of Grignard reagents has been known for over 100 years, and now GFS has developed particular expertise in the production of alkynyl Grignards while enhancing the Farchan product line.
As a producer of a broad range of organic specialties, let us put our expertise with these and other Grignard reagents to work for you: GFS also carries a full line of anhydrous solvents suitable for Grignard systems, as well as Grignard initiators such as iodine and anhydrous cerous chloride.

Farchan Technologies
In addition to novel Grignard reactions, the Farchan technologies include Birch reductions, brominations, various condensations, epoxidations and coupling reactions, and low-pressure hydrogenations, as well as classical sodium metal/amide and lithium metal/amide methodologies.
The Farchan production program has always included many products that were not derived from acetylenic or liquid ammonia chemistries. These include an extensive line of silyl intermediates, triflates and other fluoro-organics as well as some of our core organic products that are available in bulk.
