Gates Poly Chain GT Carbon belt offers more flexibility and higher horsepower ratings than aramid fiber synchronous belts. The belt features a carbon fiber tensile cord that provides high strength and length stability, while reducing stretch on drive systems used in low-speed, high-torque applications

Gates carbon cord construction also provides more flexibility than aramid fiber reinforcement, thus allowing the use of backside idlers.
