Product Announcement from General Carbide Corporation
General Carbide has been supplying high-quality heading dies to the fastener market for more than 40 years. Quality preforms, or semi-finished nibs, are manufactured to your specifications. We offer grades of carbide ranging in cobalt binder from 3% to 30%. Our stocking program allows us to manufacture parts and hold them on the shelf up to three months to meet your release schedules. We offer 11 grades of carbide with tantalum added for applications where galling may be an issue. Quick delivery is available on our standard grades of 13% - 25% cobalt.
At General Carbide, we manufacture more than 50 grades of tungsten carbide tooling for a variety of industrial wear and metal forming applications. The company was established more than 40 years ago and is headquartered in western Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. We sell our products throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia, employing more than 100 highly-skilled professionals in our production operations. Those individuals produce metallurgical powders, as well as shape, sinter and finish-grind tungsten carbide.
