Glebar Company Inc. - The GT-610 Centerless Grinder is unique due to the use of a 8-5/8" *(219mm) wide grinding wheel, equipped with super precision hollow roller bearings, resulting in more efficient cutting, superior surface, longer dress and wheel life. A high precision linear glass scale controls positioning to better than 0.1 micron.
A 6" (152mm) diameter 8-5/8" wide regulating wheel also equipped with super precision hollow roller bearings provide robust control of material being ground. This machine is equipped with a 9" (228mm) diameter grinding wheel.
This compact system specializes in precision grinding parts from 0.030" (0.76mm) - 2" (50.80mm) diameter metal parts. Recent test grinding 12 foot 1" titanium bar-stock resulted in total tolerance of 0.0005", with material removal of 0.006" per pass. Diameter roundness measures of 0.000050"(0.001mm) are easily achieved on this machine.
