Glenro's line of regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs) called Regenex™ destroy volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in manufacturing process exhaust streams. Regenex systems combine the benefits of high heat recovery and process application flexibility in a compact, adaptable package and can achieve guaranteed VOC destruction efficiencies of 99%+.

Regenex regenerative oxidizer systems are ideal for low VOC concentration applications where a catalyst cannot be used because of catalyst-destroying chemicals in the solvent mixture. Regenerative oxidizers also work well in cases where the recurring cost of catalyst replacement is uneconomical, or when application flexibility is required due to many products with different solvent mixtures and exhaust air volumes running on the same line.

A Regenex oxidizer consists of two or three heat exchange beds connected by a common combustion chamber. The heat exchange media allows air to pass while serving as a mass to store heat. The airflow through the heat exchange beds is reversed at regular intervals to conserve the heat of combustion within the RTO. Depending on the application, up to 95% of the heat combustion can be recovered and recycled, representing significant fuel savings. Valves within the system control airflow through the heat exchange media. Because the valves are integral to the design, Regenex systems occupy a small footprint compared to similar systems and offer excellent VOC destruction efficiencies.

Regenex oxidizers are shop assembled, pre-wired and pre-piped to ensure product quality and to minimize construction costs and plant downtime. State-of-the-art control systems can include modems to allow Glenro engineers to monitor the customer's oxidizer operations via telemetry.

Regenex oxidizers join Glenro's family of fume oxidizers for VOC, smoke, and odor abatement. Depending on the customer's air quality and processing challenges, Glenro also designs and builds recuperative thermal oxidizers, recuperative catalytic oxidizers, and oxidizers integrated with process dryers and heat recovery systems in complete, turnkey processing packages. In most cases, Glenro engineers can develop oxidizer systems that are extremely energy efficient, while delivering guaranteed efficiencies of VOC destruction.
