Wherever your Green Line Armor SUP travels, it can be identified as yours via a unique Radio Frequency Identity (RFID) tag. The use of the RFID can be extremely simple, or incredibly robust, and the varieties in specifications, performance, size, and capabilities are tremendous. However, there are some advances in RFID technology that have assisted us in selecting an RFID tag for our SUP.

The European Product Code standard, or EPC, Gen 2 tag follows a standard that functions worldwide. The passive tag is durable and, with the four-inch antennae, has excellent readability. We did not select an active tag due to power requirements. Batteries have a life of three to four years and will run out of power well before the SUP is ready for retirement and recycling.

Green Line Armor has overcome the biggest challenges in putting an RFID tag in a pallet. Because the water in wood blocks reception, many attempts to read the RFID tag fail. Green Line Armor's Hybrid Sustained Use Pallet™ has a built-in RFID compartment in the bumper. By placing identical tags in each end of the SUP™, RFID reading issues are eliminated.
