Groschopp, Inc. has announced their PM108 true 1/3 hp compact DC motors designed to deliver 90VDC at 2500 RPM and 130 in-lb start/stall. The PM108 is offered in two lengths; the PM10816 at 7.55" and the PM10818 at 8.61" and feature a new more durably mounted brush design. "The PM108 is an exceptionally rugged motor with high start-and-stop torque and is ideal for personal mobility devices and industrial winch applications," said Greg Pennings, Field Application Engineer for Groschopp.
Standard features include square end bells for base mounting (with round versions optional), a 1/2" output shaft and Class B rating with class F insulating materials. The housing is sealed to IP44 specifications. Options include a second component shaft extension and upgraded sealing to meet IP66 specifications. Drive end bell options include NEMA 42C face mounting and 4 mounting hole versions. A 15 in-lb brake or incremental encoders are also available as well as different colors, lead wire lengths & configurations and foot mountings. Designs for 12, 24, 90,115 FWR, 130 and 180 volts up to at least 2500 RPM and designs for selected RPMs from 800 to 2500 for all voltages with speeds up to 5000 RPM on higher voltages will be stocked for immediate delivery. PM108 motors integrate with Groschopp planetary, right angle planetary, parallel shaft and right angle reducers.
