It features gold alloy brazed, flush mounted, sapphire windows, and rugged construction. Jack screw threads permit the probe to be pulled out of a cold extruder head. For operation on an extruder head, two Polymer Melt Probes are mounted on opposite sides of a custom-made spool piece that fits on to the extruder head.
