Bolts, brackets and casting application expertise for stress analysis both operating and residual studies. These can include measuring clamping force applied by bolts to verify torque specs, measuring gasket relaxation through bolt clamp loads, and measuring residual stress in engine blocks and heads
Internal engine components such as valve springs, valves, crankshafts, bearing caps, block webs
Rockers for use in measuring injection events on camshaft driven injectors
Injectors and injector lines for detecting injection events, pressure changes and vibration
Cooling system components to measure stresses due to temperature and temperature gradients (both wet and dry sides)
High temperature and low temperature heat flux sensors installed to measure heat transmission and detect soot deposition in exhaust components such as EGR valves and coolers
EGR system components (both gas and water) with strain gages and thermocouples
High temperature exhaust manifolds, catalytic converter housings, and other exhaust components for dynamic analysis, low temperature gages applied for static measurements when temperature remains below 650 degrees F
High temperature and low temperature dynamic and low temperature static and vibration analysis on rotating turbo machinery
Driveline component torque measurement with optional telemetry for torque by instrumenting drive shafts, u-joints and axles
Cab suspension mount transducers fabricated for uni-axial, bi-axial and tri-axial measurements

HITEC Corporation was established in 1971 to provide a wide range of specialized engineering services for elevated temperature and extreme environment sensor installations and measurements.
Specific advanced by the founders of the Company include the development of various sensor application techniques that contribute to our success in the sensor industry. Throughout the years we have expended our capabilities to offer custom transducerization of components to a wide variety of industries and custom OEM transducers from design to production in large quantities.
In May of 2000 we added a second strain gage laboratory facility in the Detroit area to better serve the automotive industry.
HITEC Corporation is proudly now a part of First Technology Safety and Analysis (FTSA).
