Haydon Switch & Instrument, Inc. (HSI) is pleased to announce three new metric strokes of 18mm, 25mm, and 31mm that are now available on the Z26000 captive linear actuators. These new extended travels are in addition to the Z26000 series that is offered with a ½" (12.7mm) of travel. This extends the use of the Z26000 to applications that have almost three times the previously allowed stroke. This new extended travel offering is available in a wide variety of resolutions ranging from 0.0127mm to 0.1016mm per step and offers up to 4.5 Kg of force. By utilizing rare earth magnets, the Z-series linear actuators have improved efficiency, resulting in a higher output force to volume ratio. These actuators consistently deliver exceptional performance based on an innovative new design which dramatically reduces costs without compromising performance. The simplified design and metric dimensions make the Z26000 series ideal for the global marketplace. Providing an elegant solution for linear movement, OEM's can reduce components and simplify designs by replacing rotary motors which generate linear movement through belts and pulleys or rack and pinions with the Z26000. This can often result in smaller space requirements and very possibly, lower system costs. All Z series linear actuators are designed for low or high volume applications. Typical applications include medical devices, small machinery, instrumentation and virtually any applications where precise linear motion is required.
