Hernon's Ultra-Cure ultraviolet irradiators meet the requirements of researchers and field engineers of intense ultraviolet energy for the curing of diversified adhesive, sealant, and coating applications.
Ultra-Cure ultraviolet irradiators are available in either focused or non-focused optical configurations. Three wattage's are available; 1000, 1600 and 2400 watts. Irradiators operate on 120 volt 60Hz. Grounded electrical source. Ultra-Cure 500F at 300 WPI operates at 220 volt 60Hz.
The elliptical reflector systems in the Ultra-Cure 300F and 500F irradiators, focus concentrated UV energy into a narrow beam across the curing surface. These units are applicable in curing fast moving coatings such as conformal coatings in a conveyor application.
The half-round reflector system in the Ultra-Cure 200 non-focused irradiator emits wide area irradiation. This optical configuration permits units to be psotioned either across or parallel to the curing surface for greater UV exposure time. These units are applicable in curing thicker, slow moving films such as UV sensitive adhesives.
Ultra-Cure systems contain a medium-pressure (200/250/300 watts per linear inch) mercury vapor discharge lamp with high efficiency output in the 185-400 nanometer UV cure range. Ozone-free lamps and lamps of various arc length are available for direct interchange into the Ultra-Cure units.
Lamp & specially processed specular aluminum reflector are mounted in a fan-cooled housing. Remote power supply insures maximum operational ease and portability of the lamp.
Ultra-Cure units are designed with optional high/low intensity control to reduce lamp output to an idle mode. Lamp life is not shortened and lamp rapidly returns to full power.
