Hitachi America, Ltd., Power and Industrial Division, announces the SJ/L-EN Ethernet communication module option, which provides all the Hitachi AC Micro Drives with a high performance, easy-to-use Ethernet interface. The SJ/L-EN is installed externally and connects to the user's network by means of a standard RJ45 connector.

Hitachi America, Ltd. has previously released the SJ-EN Ethernet option board for the SJ300 and L300P series. The SJ/L-EN completes Ethernet connectivity for Hitachi's entire AC Drive lines.

The SJ/L-EN implements the widely accepted MODBUS/TCP protocol for maximum versatility. It incorporates seven LEDs to monitor board status and activity, an 8-position DIP-switch for setting the node address, and a Form-C alarm relay output. No special software or hardware is required.
