Industrial Ink Jet Printer Cleaning Solution
Product Announcement from Hitachi America, Ltd., Industrial Components and Equipment Division
Hitachi America, Ltd., Industrial Systems Division, announced compliance with South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), Clean Air Solvent (CAS) protocol for its CL1000 Cleaning Solution. Hitachi continues to expand upon its efforts to reduce toxic emissions released into the environment.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) enforces air pollution regulations in Southern California. The Regulation Rule 1171: Solvent Cleaning Operations was developed to reduce emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's), air contaminants, and stratospheric ozone-depleting or global warming compounds from the use, storage and disposal of solvent cleaning materials, operations and activities.
Hitachi's CL1000 Cleaning Solution, an Acetone - based, low VOC solvent, is used to clean Continuous Ink Jet Printers as part of normal maintenance procedures. The cleaning solution has less than twenty-five (25) grams of VOC per liter of material and is fully compliant with SCAQMD's - Rule 1171 Regulations.
Hitachi has sold more than 85,000 printers worldwide. With every new generation of Continuous Ink Jet Printers, improvements are made to meet the changing needs and requirements of customers globally. Our newest line of Continuous Industrial Ink Jet Printers, the PXR series, complies with the European Directive 2002/95/EC Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) that was enacted July 1, 2006 in EU countries.
RoHS Directive prohibits electrical and electronic equipment that contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
With the release of CL1000 Cleaning Solution and RoHS equipment compliance, Hitachi remains the industry leader in producing inkjet printers that utilize cutting edge technology and minimize impact on the environment..
