Liquitote®, the leading metal IBC on the market, is the original intermediate bulk container (IBC) of the liquid handling industry. Hoover introduced this revolutionary concept over 50 years ago as an efficient and sensible alternative to the use of 55-gallon drums. More durable than standard 55-gallon drums, Liquitote® helps control risk to the environment. In fact, one 550-gallon Liquitote® replaces ten drums, thereby, minimizing the amount of handling required, which in turn, lowers the risk of liquid handling accidents. Liquitote® is a cost-effective, sound capital investment which can be amortized over its long life. Liquitotes® are refillable and durable. Many of the first models made over 50 years ago are still in use today.
The Liquitote® meets the following UN and DOT Qualifications for intermediate bulk containers:
Stainless steel Liquitotes® are UN 31A Qualified on all sizes up to 550-gallon.
Applications Hoover Liquitotes® are used to store and transport liquid materials. Some applications include: managing chemical inventories, storage of lubricants, adhesives, and sealants, storage or transportation of hazardous liquids, storage of wine or other beverages, and storage of viscous food products like honey. Hoover will work with you to customize your Liquitote® to meet your specific applications.

Cargo Valve Liquitote®
The UN31A Cargo Valve Liquitote® IBC was designed to comply with the DOT's Special Provision 12412. DOT - SP12412, commonly referred to as the pump-off special permit, allows for the discharge of combustible and flammable liquids from an IBC while it is located on a transport vehicle. Under this special permit, only IBCs with bottom discharge systems that include emergency shut-off valves are permitted to discharge hazardous material from a trailer or flat bed.
Liquitote® Jacketed IBCs
The Jacketed Liquitote® is the answer to your cooling or heating storage issues. With all the standard features and benefits of our original Liquitote®, this IBC is ideal for heating or chilling temperature sensitive liquid products.
793 Liquitote®
Hoover has taken its industry standard IBC, the Liquitote®, and has designed a larger and more rugged IBC, the 793 Liquitote®. The 793 Liquitote® has a capacity of 793 gallons and features a 10-gauge stainless steel top and body construction and an 8-gauge sloped bottom for easy and complete drainage.
Liquisystem
An efficient solution to liquid handling, a Liquisystem stacks a Liquitote® feeder container (which is removable and refillable) on top of a Liquitote® base container. This stacked system allows liquids to be piped directly to the area of use from the base tank. This configuration offers end users an economical opportunity to qualify for bulk rates on products. This stacked system is environmentally friendly by providing a closed delivery system which minimizes potential environmental problems associated with fumes, hazardous waste residue, and accidental spillage.
