New EC12-34 and EC16-34 are Ideal for Forklift Mast Functions
Load holding, leakage and stability are critical issues in any lowering function application. We understand the specific application issues that forklift manufacturers face with lifting and lowering loads. Mast structure and dynamics, load holding, friction, safety, productivity and perception are some of the important issues forklift designers face. To address these issues, HydraForce has developed these unique new lowering compensator valves that have been issued U.S. Patent No. 7,261,030. The new EC12-34 and EC16-34 load-sense, pressure compensators, with integral damping and load-holding features are ideal for lowering applications.
These new pressure compensators have an integral damping chamber designed to provide smoother operation. The damping chamber helps prevent load-bounce during lowering operations. The built-in low-leakage poppet prevents load drift. With a compensator spring value of 200 psi (13.8 bar), speed control is accurate independent of load weights.
Using HydraForce proportional poppet, directional control valves in conjunction with the new ECxx-34 compensator sets a new standard for stability and control in lowering applications. With four sizes of proportional poppet valves, and two sizes of compensators available, components can be right-sized for the application. Overall cost, as well as the envelope and weight of the manifold, can be reduced. In addition, right-sizing components to flow requirements improves metering characteristics for that function. There is now a better, higher-performance choice for designing flow control circuits vs. the old way of "one size fits all."
The new ECxx-34 valves are the latest example of our continuing commitment to develop innovative new products, offering better features and improved system performance. HydraForce continues to be the leader in design, manufacturing and applications of hydraulic cartridges valves and electro-hydraulic systems in the mobile equipment OEM markets.
