Harsh Environment Piezo Speaker

PZ-94 HES Piezo Electric Speaker was manufactured to replace the Motorola KSN-1103.

Our Piezo ceramic driver replaces the use of conventional pole magnet and voice coil construction eliminating stray magnetic fields found in conventional speakers. This durable construction along with our Hi-impact polycarbonate housing makes this speaker suitable for outdoor applications and for use in harsh environments where vibration and shock are a concern. The speaker was designed for voice communication with a Fo of 450Hz ~ 20KHz. Our speaker measures 3.75" x 0.59" deep and has a nominal power rating of 50W.

Piezoelectric speakers have several advantages over conventional loudspeakers: they are resistant to overloads which would normally destroy the voice coil of a conventional loudspeaker, and they are an inherently capacitive electrical load so they usually do not require a complicated external cross-over network.
