Component stability is greater when friction between different materials is reduced and surface hardness is improved by applying a combination of fluoropolymers and metal or ceramic materials.
High quality metal and ceramic layers are thermally sprayed onto base materials with CeraCoat®. Extreme hardness optimizes the wear resistance and extends the serviceable life of mechanically strained components. Modifications in surface roughness and profile enable customized applications. Sealed with a top coat, excellent nonstick properties can be achieved.
CeraCoat® can be applied to nearly all metallic substrates and carbon fiber or other composite materials to provide a wear-resistant surface. Mechanically finished CeraCoat® can even replace hard chrome for wear resistance.
- Coating thickness: 80 µm to 200 µm
- Temperature range: -40 °C to +270 °C
- Surface roughness (Ra): approx. 0.2 µm (mech. refinished) to 30 µm
- Hardness: 28 to70 HRc
