The SB2i provides dual axis (single axis available) inclination or acceleration measurement in an environmentally protected housing with available CSA Certification. The sensing package incorporates a modular design allowing the user to select the measurement range and sensor for each axis that best suits the individual application. The two axes can have different ranges including a mixture of both inclination and acceleration ranges. Both symmetrical (±3g) and oblique (-15° to +70°) ranges are available. The unit provides 4-20mA output.

Although the SB2i provides dual axis measurement, it can be made as a single axis as well with CSA and CE certification.

The SB2i has been certified as follows: (The unit will bear the Standard CSA marking for Canada and the US and the CE mark) Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D; Ex ia IIC T4 or Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Ex nA IIC T4

A complete sensor package is comprised of the following: a measurement sensor; two (2) internally regulated power supplies; separate signal conditioners for 4 to 20 mA current; separate active low pass filtering for high frequency noise suppression. The filter's upper frequency and time constant can be customized to suit a wide range of requirements.
