Inductotherm® VIP® Multiple-Output Systems can power two or more furnaces simultaneously for greater production with a minimum investment for each ton of metal being poured. Some of the many advantages include: a single power unit with the batch production capacity of multiple units; increased alloy flexibility; equipment power utilization levels approaching 100% and the ability to direct full rated power to one furnace while fully isolating another during maintenance operations.

These power supplies enable foundries to optimize the flexibility and efficiency of their melting operations by increasing power supply utilization approaching 100%. These systems also help foundries use power more efficiently for melting and holding without increasing electric utility demand charges.

VIP® Multiple-Output units give the furnace operator the ability to apply power to both furnaces simultaneously, completely eliminating the need for switches or a separate power supply. The unit includes a control panel with two complete sets of readouts and controls, one for each unit, providing enormous power output flexibility. With the Multiple-Output unit's dual-mode operation, it is not necessary to interrupt the flow of current to the melting furnace in order to reheat metal in the furnace being poured.
