Centralized call centers and numbers like 311 are increasing in popularity for municipal governments. By providing a central operator for customers to call for information and service requests, you can prevent duplicate work orders and requests while being able to assign work to crews already in the field.

Here is how it works: a citizen can call the same number to report water main flooding that they see on their street, to follow up on an issue that they had already reported, or to find out what time the play starts in the park. The operator taking the call has all of the tools at their fingertips to create a work request directly in Infor EAM or access a knowledge base to answer their questions. If necessary, the work is automatically and immediately scheduled and assigned.
