IPS transfer lines can be dedicated or flexible, and are capable of producing cast iron parts at 50 to 250 parts/hour. Machines for cast iron operations are particularly robust to withstand severe duty cycle requirements while maintaining accuracy and tool life. Three-axis machining centers and turret spindles can be added in the appropriate areas to support part features and volume variations. Distributed control systems provide efficient operation and easy diagnostics. IPS has significant experience in machines that produce cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, and transmission cases, and small parts such as pillow blocks and pump housings.
