Thrust washers injection molded in Meldin® 1000 series, 3000 series, and 5000 series materials offer high wear resistance and excellent self-lubrication characteristics for demanding and dry-running applications.

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics can produce various thrust washer design types in these injection molded Meldin® material grades.

The Meldin® materials' excellent load bearing and self-lubricating properties make them ideal thrust washer candidates for demanding applications such as transmissions, gearboxes, transfer cases, compressors, turbomachinery, and pumps.

Complex oil groove geometries can be done economically due to the fact that these materials are injection molded.

These materials successfully withstand demanding pressure & velocity conditions. Testing done by an indepent laboratory shows that the Meldin® materials successfully withstand high pressure / low velocity conditions of 3400 PSI and 147 feet per minute. Testing done by this same independent laboratory shows that the Meldin® materials successfully withstand high velocity / low pressure conditions of 871 feet per minute and 287 PSI.
